What denomination are you? We are a Congregational Church associated with the United Church of Christ in the Southern New England Conference. What do you believe? We are a Christian church that welcomes all people to explore their faith, deepen their connection to God, and experience the blessing of being part of a community committed to loving one another and God. See our Mission Statement! Do you have to be a member to participate? Whoever you are, and wherever you are on life's journey, you are welcome here! (i.e. Nope!) When were you formed? Our church began in 1704 and has a wonderfully rich history. More information can be found here. How can I become a member? If you wish to join our church, let us know! We would be glad to invite you to our next membership class. |
When do your services begin? Join us every Sunday at 10:00 am! Services are about an hour with a time of fellowship and refreshments to follow. Do you have programs for kids? Yes! We offer Sunday School more formally during the school year and more casually in the summer. Sunday school happens during our worship service with the children leaving about 15 minutes into the service. We offer Confirmation class for 8th and 9th graders every other year. How do people dress? People dress from very casual to suits and ties. All are welcome! Is the church accessible? Yes! Our sanctuary has cut-off pews to accommodate people in wheelchairs and a wide front pew to allow those with walkers to sit comfortably with their families. Our fully accessible brand new north entrance and elevator allows families to easily and safely enter and exit the building. There is also a handicapped bathroom on the first floor. Where do we park? There is on-street parking (around the common) and adjacent to the post office on Willow Avenue. Do you have an offering? There is a free-will offering taken during the service. You can give by check or by cash. Offerings can also be made online. Click here to give online. When do you serve Communion? We serve open communion to all ages on the first Sunday of the month and on special occasions. You do not have to be a member to receive it. Do you offer Christian Baptism?
