Prayer ​Shawl Ministry

Our group of dedicated knitters gather after the Sunday Service to create beautiful prayer shawls for anyone who is in need of comfort, hope, healing, or connection.  Each shawl is prayerfully made with love and given a special blessing before being delivered. These shawls bring such joy to all--those who make them and those who receive them.  Anyone is welcome to join this wonderful community--bring your knitting needles or crochet hooks and join in creating a blessing!

This is the Blessing that we say over the shawls in worship:

May God’s grace be upon this shawl...
warming, comforting, enfolding and embracing.
 
May this mantle be a safe haven…
a sacred place of security and well-being…
sustaining and embracing in good times
as well as difficult ones.
 
May the one who receives this shawl be cradled in hope,
kept in joy, graced with peace, and wrapped in love.
